The story
Up close, by design.
Based in Cape Town, Empire is a five-piece built to perform among guests: two guitarist-vocalists, a saxophonist, a double bassist and a percussionist on cajón.
The format can stay acoustic through cocktail hour and dinner, then build into an amplified full-band set when the celebration is ready to lift.
Empire has performed internationally in Malta and across the French Riviera, including Monaco. In Cape Town, the band has also played venues including Grand Africa Beach Club, Café Caprice, TANG and The Duchess of Wisbeach.
Inspired by the Rolling Stones, Harry Styles and Frank Sinatra.
